Another early morning found us with another excellent guide Ute in Regensburg, one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval cities, undamaged from WWII. Along the way were "one of the largest groupings of 13th- and 14th-century church spires, towers and patrician houses north of the Alps," as well as "12th-century Old Stone Bridge, St. Peter’s Cathedral and a number of idyllic courtyards"
In the afternoon, we took the optional tour, a bus ride to Kelheim, with Kati, and then on a ferry boat "to the 400-foot chalk cliffs and dramatic scenery of the Danube Narrows" and then to the Weltenurg Abbey.
