September 2003 - Fernwood
4.56 - 6, 5.5, 5, 5, 4, 4, 4, 3
As I recall (and of
course, it’s now been several months), it was a lovely fall Sunday evening
that we ventured part way up the mountain the old, but charming Fernwood
Restaurant. I’m happy to say all
“members” were in attendance and in good spirit, considering it was Sunday
night (which meant a new work week was merely a few short hours away, even for
those teacher/in-school employees).
The Up Side - A nice round corner table awaited us –
I always think that makes for the best social contact all ‘around’.
Merry (yes, that’s how she spells it) is always an interesting hostess
and her son, Emil, aims to please. As
always, the company was engaging and there was much interesting conversation.
The Down Side – I was disappointed.
The Good News –
Chay and I have been back a
couple of times since our September get together and the Teators have been with
us on one of those occasions and we all agreed we had an exceptional meal.
